It’s all in, the letting go..

When was the last time you lived in complete surrender? Or have you ever lived in complete surrender? What does that look like? Or how does that feel?
It’s funny because the two times in my life I have lived in complete surrender, my life would have looked like a mess to everyone else looking in. It also would look totally illogical. However, in those moments of complete surrender, I felt free, curious, and alive!! All I did was trust in a plan higher than what I could imagine. My life has been messy but absolutely beautifully orchestrated.
How does faith play into surrender? What are your beliefs?
Complete faith and complete surrender go hand in hand. In all honesty, not having to be the driver all the time is a lighter feeling. I don’t have to worry about if I’m going in the right direction or if I’m going to run out of gas or the bazillion little details in “my trip”. I get to focus more on the beauty around me, people I meet, and the things I learn.
Why is it so hard to let go? Do you have issues with control or trust? How can you begin to trust that you are supported? Does fear of the unknown play into letting go?
Responsibility. Family. Selfishness vs. Self love dilemma. Other peoples perceptions. The unknown. Worry. Fear. Lack of faith in self or something higher. New. Change.
Honestly giving you some examples here for you to explore more!
What exactly do I need to let go of? How can I begin the process?
Again just some examples but think about anything from your past or current life that is holding you back from being in alignment with your highest self. Because we are human, think about the strong emotions tied to situations or people or self as well.
I believe there can be layers upon layer upon layers of healing that need to happen before complete letting go and/or surrender happens. But to make it as simple as possible…
Forgiveness. Gratitude. Actions in your Faith (mediation, prayer, asking for guidance). Loving Self. A shift in the way you think or feel.
What is one thing I can practice letting go of this week? And how am I going to do it?
I want to let go of the worry around not having enough money to provide for my family. I will list 5 things daily that I’m grateful for surrounding money. I will devote my meditation time to attracting the wealth I want. Finish projects 1. and 2. on my list by Friday.
Action steps are huge in creating real change. For example, we can waste away in the emotion of worry. When we start seeing and being grateful for what we do have and focus on what we want to create instead, we move through that space.
Hope these journal prompts help you LET GO!! and find the magic that’s waiting for you!
