Living as Light

New Day, New Year, New You

2019 was a memorable year! In all honesty between years of diaper changes, breastfeeding, sleepless nights, and endless piles of laundry and dishes… I had let go of my daily spiritual practices that made me feel alive and connected. I am eternally grateful that although I had given up or forgotten, spirit did not allow it to last long. 2019 for me (and many others) was a year of REAWAKENING and REMEMBERING! One that will probably take years to process and completely make sense.

In 2020 I hope to embody, create, and teach/learn, more! I’m not really big on New Year’s resolutions, however this year I’m establishing some guidelines to assist me in propelling forward. I’m hoping they may be beneficial to you as well.

New Year Guidelines

1.) Meditate Daily

If I’m not connected to “The Light” daily, I become depressed, fight old patterns, and get into my own story and ego. Meditation and entering a state of love is assisting me in creating and attracting the life that I’m destined to live. It’s exciting because I’m seeing little snippets of my future and I know it’s coming together in the quantum field which makes it only a matter a time here on Earth. If you are not meditating and want a life changing year, START!!! Here are a few resources to begin….

2.) Set To-do List and Goals

I get overwhelmed and cluttered at times. Between being a mom, partner, creating my business, and having “me” time; if I’m not organized, everything goes out the window. I give up on it all and I sit on my phone or hide from my kids in the bathroom to breath. To keep me aligned and focused, I found these super cute and free sheets to print out. 3.) Everyday is a New Day and I choose to bloom.

I planted the flowers above in our community garden this summer. I re-planted in the fall hoping they would survive and continue growing in my house. It amazes me that about everyday the little yellow flowers bloom in the light. It is such a good reminder to me that every day is a miracle, every day is a new day, and we get this opportunity to bloom. I plan to not get too caught up in days that don’t go my way and remember how blessed I am as I move through this crazy wild journey.

Wishing you all a blessed and fun year. Happy 2020!,

Nichole Olsen
